KODIKON 6.0

A hackathon is a time-limited event where individuals collaborate to create innovative software or hardware projects. Participants work intensively to solve problems, develop applications and prototypes of their solution. The event fosters creativity, competition, and networking, with projects presented to judges or the audience at the end for recognition and awards.

Kodikon 6.0 is being organised by Team Embrione, the official technical vertical under the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at PES University, Ring Road Campus, Bangalore, Karnataka.

Participation is open to all bona fide undergraduate engineering students across accredited universities in India. Teams must consist of exactly 4 members.

If you love to code and have the desire to excel, you are more than welcome to participate in the hackathon.

All members of the team should be a part of the same institution/college (different campuses, if any, will be treated as a separate entity). However, you are allowed to team up with students in a different stream.

You're welcome to ideate and collaborate with your team before the event. However, projects or code developed before hackathon registrations opened will not be accepted. To keep Kodikon 6.0 fair and a true problem-solving + learning experience, we expect all participants to build fresh solutions during the hackathon timeline.

Of course, you can! We, at Embrione, believe in promoting the coding culture and boast of an excellent technical mentor support group. As long as you have an amazing idea and a passion for problem solving, YES, you can hack.

Yes. Only teams shortlisted for the final 24-hour offline hackathon - Kodikon 6.0 need to pay the registration fee of Rs. 1,500 per team.

An expert panel of experienced mentors, professors and field professionals will review all the idea submissions made across the different tracks, and shortlist teams to attend the offline hackathon and work on their prototypes.

Registrations and idea submissions open on 19th October and close on 25th October 2026 on Hack2Skill (https://hack2skill.com/event/kodikon6/). The shortlisted Top 35 teams will be announced on 26th October 2026. The 24-hour in-person hackathon will take place on 31st October and 1st November 2026 at PESU 52, PES University.

The final 24-hour sprint is hosted offline in-person at PESU 52, PES University, Ring Road Campus, Bengaluru.

All the members of the team need to be present at PESU 52, PES University, Ring Road Campus, Bangalore for the entire duration of the hackathon. It is a 24-hour overnight hackathon and the teams shall stay within the permissible limits of the college campus during the course of the event.

Please bring a valid university ID card, a signed parental consent form (will be shared) and a signed college authorization letter (for non-PES students). Carry your chargers and any hardware you will be using for your hack, as team workstations are provided. Make sure to carry your own toiletries and other basic personal necessities. No firearms, weapons, alcohol, or illegal drugs are allowed on campus. A detailed code of conduct will be shared with you, if selected.

Selected participants receive dedicated team workstations, high-speed university network access, continuous catering (meals, beverages, midnight snacks), and designated quiet rest areas.

Yes, the organisers of Kodikon 6.0 will make all the suitable arrangements for food and refreshments during the event. We will also be providing high speed Wi-Fi connectivity to all the participants. However, you are free to carry your own broadband/hotspot devices, for your convenience.
